CBSE board selected this school basing on the activities done throughout the year in this field in the year 2012 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda.Bhavan’s Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya stood in 5th place, out of 40 schools who got the awards which were shortlisted from schools all over the country. A cash prize of 10,000 Rupees and an appreciation certificate were awarded at a workshop organized by CBSE at New Delhi on 24th and 25th of this month. Workshop was held on imparting Swamy Vivekananda’s teachings and gender sensitivity, where more than 120 schools attended and spread awareness through Nukkad Natak and poems written by students. The Chairman CBSE Board Mr.Vineeth Joshi and Director Ramakrishna Math, Swamy Santatmanandaji gave away the awards and certificates to the schools. Two teachers were trained as Master trainers and two students as peer trainers who attended this workshop with enthusiasm and carried back these proud moments to their school.
